"UBC Orientations comprises Imagine UBC, GALA International Orientation, Parent Orientation and Mature & Transfer student orientation. Thousands of students participate in our orientations, and we are supported by over 800 student volunteers. As part of our program, we outfit all of those volunteers. In addition we provide each of the 5000 first year students with a travel mug that welcomes them to UBC. For a number of years, we have had the pleasure of working with Boulevard Advertising to develop and deliver these products.
Throughout our relationship with Boulevard Advertising, we have been impressed with the quality of service offered to our organization. Knowledgeable representatives from Boulevard were consistently available to help us with our projects???from collaborating with us on designing our products to locating the best possible product for our purposes. The attention to detail by the Boulevard staff was also a great asset to our program. In addition, when we approached Boulevard with a desire to purchase products produced under fair labour conditions, they worked closely with us to meet that goal. "Recently, The University of British Columbia purchased graduation scarves through Boulevard Advertising. The turn around time for this project was only a couple of weeks and the Boulevard staff was incredible about helping us achieve this tight deadline.
They were quick to find us a supplier of fleece scarves for the price we wanted, helped us to create a design on the scarf and had the end product in our hands by the agreed upon time. They made at least three trips out to UBC to make sure we were happy with the progress of the scarf. Their enthusiasm, motivation and genuine concern for our suggestions and timelines were invaluable.
The scarves proved to be a grand success with the graduating students and have set a precedent for all other faculties, as they want their own Faculty graduation scarf. Without Boulevard, this project would not have run as smoothly as it did.
